Robert Iger, CEO of Walt Disney Company shared with the world the first look of Disney’s streaming service, Disney Plus on 12th April and also revealed its release date – 12th November. Disney released a statement stating that the service will have something for all ages. Even if it wasn’t meant for adults, we are sure we’ll still be hooked.

Disney Plus, the official name of the streaming service will be launched on November 12th and it has an exciting roster of original content. “Disney+ marks a bold step forward in an exciting new era for our company — one in which consumers will have a direct connection to the incredible array of creative content that is The Walt Disney Company’s hallmark. We are confident that the combination of our unrivaled storytelling, beloved brands, iconic franchises, and cutting-edge technology will make Disney+ a standout in the marketplace, and deliver significant value for consumers and shareholders alike,” Mr. Iger said at Disney’s event on April 11th.

Here’s everything we know till now about the Disney streaming service

The subscription cost will be $6.99. Disney will take away the Marvel and Star Wars films from Netflix and stream on Disney Plus. Disney has also dropped hints about its upcoming series which will stream only on Disney Plus. One of the series we are expecting to find is Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye, a member of the Young Avengers Group. The highly anticipated limited series, “Star Wars – The Mandalorian” will also be presented to the word with the launch of the Disney streaming service.

Along with web series, Disney also confirmed the arrival of “Monsters at Work – a spinoff of the Monster.inc movie and “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series”. In all, Disney has promised its audience around 25 original series, 10 original films, documentaries and specials. All the “The Simpsons” lovers are up for a feast as the franchise will be making Disney Plus its official home for streaming.
